How Do I Become Involved at Wainnaz

Church is not a place for spectators. It is a family. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy parent, or a businessperson with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Wainnaz.

Sunday Morning Worship and Fellowship

Every Sunday Morning our church family gathers for a time of worship and inspiration.  We view all parts of our Sunday gatherings as important aspects of worship.  We sing a blend of contemporary and traditional worship songs, we read the scripture, participate in the sacraments, hear a message and respond to what God is doing amongst us every week when we gather.  We view our fellowship as an integral part of our family life at Wainnaz.  This is why we invite people to come early for church and stay late for coffee and encouragement.  Our worship service begins weekly on Sunday mornings at 10:10 am.

Perhaps you are gifted musically and would like to participate on our worship team as a singer or instrumentalist?  Maybe you like to greet people and would like to sign up as an usher or greeter?  Some may feel that they are interested in technology and may have an interest in helping with powerpoint or sound?  There are many opportunities to be involved in our worship services.  Please fill out the form below if you have an interest in becoming involved on our Sunday morning team.

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than in larger group settings.  Small groups also provide ideal settings for building relationships with other Christians from the church family.  For these reasons, Wainnaz has small bible studies held in member homes and at the church facility throughout the week.  Groups range from ladies sharing groups to more traditional bible studies. Youth Ministry

Wainwright Nazarene has an active youth ministry for teens age 12-18.  Please check out the "Youth Ministry" tab to see a current list of what's going on in Youth.

Of course, there is always a need for youth sponsor volunteers.  Please fill out the form below and contact Pastor Ryan if you have an interest in volunteering in this area of ministry.

Children's Ministry

Children are an integral part of the Wainnaz church family.  We have a dedicated team of volunteer leaders who facilitate the various ministries to children in our congregation.  Please fill out the form below if you have an interest in helping in this area of our church ministry.  Look under the "Children's Ministry" tab to see the various ministry areas for children at Wainnaz.

Adults

Our Adult ministry team has a mandate to offer opportunities for relationship building amongst our adults.  We offer a variety of fun events throughout the year that help us to build relationships with one another, whether male or female, married or single, young or old.  Look at the "Adult ministry" tab for current listings of upcoming adult activities.

Women's Ministry

The Women's ministry at Wainnaz offers opportunities for ladies from our church and community to get together for fellowship and inspiration.  The WM plans quarterly events.  Check out the "Women's" ministry tab to see a list of upcoming events and to read their helpful and insightful newsletter just for ladies!

Men's Ministry

Men's ministry at Wainnaz exists to help provide opportunities for men to build relationships with one another as we strengthen our faith.  We gather for events throughout the year where men 18+ can gather for fellowship and fun.  Check out the "Men's" ministry tab to see a list of upcoming events just for men!

Missions

The Wainwright Church of the Nazarene is part of a global church family known as the Church of the Nazarene.  As such, we participate in our denominational mission mandate and take part in the work of our global church as we support and send missionaries, build hospitals and schools and participate in compassionate ministry projects around the world.  We participate in missions at Wainnaz in a variety of ways, from giving away a portion of our income, to offering special fundraisers for missions projects, to hosting missionaries as they travel our district raising awareness of their ongoing work around the world.  Throughout the year, our missions team provides opportunities for our local church family to become involved in helping others through the missions work of the Church of the Nazarene.

Wainnaz Community Garden

The Wainwright Church of the Nazarene has a community garden located behind the church. All are welcome to come plant, water and weed the garden throughout the growing season. Share the work, share the reward.
