The Wainwright Church of the Nazarene is a vibrant and caring church family.  

Our mission is:

• To Endeavour to Follow the Example of Jesus Christ by Reaching Out To, Caring For and Building Up People.

Wainwright Nazarene is a local congregation that belongs to a larger church family that has a global reach and ministry through the denomination called, The Church of the Nazarene.

The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, tracing its roots to an anniversary date of 1908.

We believe that God offers to everyone; forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life and  the promise of heaven when life is over by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Wainnaz has a strong heritage of caring for people that reaches back to the establishment of our church here in Wainwright in 1951. We have had various buildings and sites and have engaged in many different types of ministries and programs. Through it all there has been a strong conviction that the church is about more than buildings or programs. We believe the church is about people. This is why, as we look ahead to the future, we remain committed to following the example of Jesus by reaching out to, caring for and building up people.

At WCN, all of this begins with our weekend service. We are a church family that enjoys worshiping together. Worship includes friendly people, good music, messages tied to everyday life, warm community and encouraging fellowship with one another.
